Proof of Degree

An updated transcript showing completion of the Ph.D. OR a formal letter from the university Graduate School Office with an official stamp or seal indicating the date that ALL requirements for the Ph.D. have been completed (the final draft of the thesis has been turned in and accepted) is required prior to hiring.

In the "Remarks" section of the PA, the following information must be provided:

• Appointment will expire 2 years from date of hire.
• Citizenship
• Note any limitations to relocation expenses if applicable.

Research Proposal Signed by Sponsor

Important! If the Research Proposal that was submitted in your candidate's package for Director's funding consideration is not an accurate reflection of the work the candidate will perform as a RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, we require a new or updated Research Proposal be provided with the hiring package. It is CRITICAL that the Postdoc Office and the candidate have a clear understanding of the research expected to be completed at the Laboratory during the appointment.

Include a copy of the original (or revised) Research Proposal with the following statement and your signature added to the bottom (or on a separate page if there is no additional room on the Research Proposal):

"I acknowledge that the research outlined above will be performed by the postdoc during his/her appointment at the Laboratory."

This will also require the signature of the candidate and will be included with the offer letter.
