Sergiy Gerashchenko received his Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of Science in the Department of Physics and Complex Systems in 2007. He received his M.S. from Kharkiv National University (Ukraine), in Radiophysics and Electronics in 1993.
Before coming to Los Alamos, Sergiy worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Warhaft at Cornell University, studying inertial particle dynamics in high Reynolds number turbulent flows. He also performed postdoctoral research at Caltech, studying transitional flow in pressure gradient boundary layers.
Sergiy's research interests include turbulent mixing, decaying turbulence, high-resolution experimental diagnostics, and atmospheric flows. |
