Heather Zunino is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University under the advisement of Prof. Ronald Adrian. She received her B.S. in Physics from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Heather is currently working with the Predictive Science Academic Alliance Program II (PSAAP II) sponsored by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Her research is focused on obtaining experimental shock tube data to validate computational simulations that predict the properties and dynamics of complex systems.

Heather's research interests include experimental setup design and planetary science applications of fluid dynamics experiments. Her dissertation will incorporate measurements and observations from shock tube experiments with the observed flow dynamics resulting from shock waves due to volcanic eruptions.
