Gavin received his B.E. in mechanical engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, in 2009.
For his honors thesis, he developed instrumentation to extract and chemically analyze gas samples from a fuel-rich reformation process for the Alternative Fuels Laboratory.
His research interests include compressible flow, combustion, turbulence, insect aerodynamics, PDE modeling, and acoustics.
In his spare time, Gavin is an avid ultimate frisbee player, loves playing, listening to, and reading about the history of jazz music, and exploring new cities. |
