Conversion Instructions

 

 

  1. To convert a .dat file to universal file format:

 

- Run the DOS program sdfto58.exe

·        At the command prompt, type:

o       Sdfto58.exe filename.dat filename.unv

The .unv file contains the Frequency Response, Coherence, Input, Output, and Cross PSDs, and the Time histories of each channel recorded.

 

  1. To convert a .tim file to universal file format:

 

- Run the DOS program sdfto58.exe

·        At the command prompt, type:

o       Sdftoasc.exe filename.tim filename.unv /r:0-8,c /s:0-31

- The .unv file contains 9 columns of data.  The first column is the input time history of the force transducer and the remaining 8 columns are the acceleration time histories of the 8 masses.
