Los Alamos National Environmental Research Park

Facility Description

The park is 111 square kilometers (43 square miles) in area and contains within its boundaries Los Alamos National Laboratory and adjacent lands. The area accommodates basic research on ecosystems under various levels of stress and development of technology for resolving regulatory and compliance-related problems. Detailed information is available on the park's biota, geology, hydrology, meteorology, ecology, soils, and archeology.
