On Pajarito Road merges

The Feb. 10 article on near misses at Pajarito Road security posts, and reminders to drivers to exercise caution is not good enough. I submitted a safety concern on this dangerous situation almost a year ago and was told that others had raised concerns and it was recognized the design was poor. Nothing has been done except to remind drivers to be more careful.

Wrong approach. In my opinion, design is the problem. Invest some time and effort to redesign a very poor merge area - it is an accident waiting to happen.
