Child care at the LabThere were two pieces of stark truth that Director Nanos spoke sincerely during his all-hands. One of them is about child care.
Contrary to Janie Enter's opinion, the director is right on when he said that the "community doesn't want it" about child care. Why else would some so-called child care provider in town finally admitt that they'd rather have a waitlist and unfilled spots that the Laboratory would subsidize then actually providing the much-needed child care services?
The director used the term "forces of evil" when describing his (and frankly, the Lab's) score in the pursuit of child care. Those who don't want child care at the Lab have used lies and intimidation to see to it that the Lab does not get child care. "Forces of evil" is one statement from Nanos that I can agree with.
