As in the past, we are being asked to enjoy our Christmas break and not come in to work, and a list is again being requested of those personnel who need to be on site.

What is different this year is that the access list will include access to Pajarito Road. Everyone in the car must be badged and on the list.

Since the access list is meant to be highly restrictive, Pajarito Road will be effectively closed to all of the residents of White Rock traveling to Los Alamos over the Christmas break.

I ask that during the year-end shutdown we continue the current policy of allowing badge holders to use this valuable road. If I show my badge to the officer, I think I should be trusted to stay on the road and pass through the site. I promise I won't try to run into work, I just want to drive my family up to town.
