Monday, March 28, 2005 Beckner to resign from NNSAEveret Beckner is resigning from the National Nuclear Security Administration effective April 30. He is NNSA's deputy administrator for defense programs. Beckner, who has visited the Laboratory on several occasions, has been a high-ranking NNSA official since early 2002. Before joining NNSA, Beckner was deputy chief executive of the Atomic Weapons Establishment in the United Kingdom. Before that position, he was the vice president of technical operations and environment, safety and health for Lockheed Martin's Energy and Environment Sector in Bethesda, Md. "[Everet] has played a key role in the leadership of NNSA and has served this agency well. He is one of the most dedicated public servants I know," said NNSA Administrator Linton Brooks.
