Thursday, March 24, 2005 Community job fair March 31 at UNM-Los AlamosThe Laboratory is co-sponsoring the fourth annual community job fair March 31 at University of New Mexico's Los Alamos branch campus. University of New Mexico, Los Alamos, Los Alamos National Bank, Los Alamos County, the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce and the New Mexico Department of Labor are co-sponsoring the fair. It is open to all Northern New Mexico job seekers and begins at 11:30 a.m., in the Student Union Building (Building 2). Part of the community job fair is a work force development panel discussion featuring UNM, Los Alamos executive director Carlos Ramirez, Conroy Chino, cabinet secretary of the Department of Labor and Jose Griego, president of Northern New Mexico Community College in Española. The panel discussion is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The public is welcome to attend. Companies who pay a $100 booth fee ($50 if a member of the Los Alamos County Chamber of Commerce) can meet with job-seekers and provide information about job openings in their company, said Debbie Valdez, UNM, Los Alamos' associate campus director.
