March Research Library newsletter now onlineThe March issue of the Research Library (STB-RL) newsletter is now online. The newsletter contains information about services, resources and programs offered by the library, which is located in the J. Robert Oppenheimer Study Center at Technical Area 3. The Research Library's external review committee recently called STB-RL one of the "best in the world." Read more about this recognition in this month's issue or see the Feb. 23 Daily Newsbulletin. The library now has access to Jane's Terrorism and Insurgency Center, a comprehensive resource for the latest global terrorism related content. Jane's Sentinel Security Assessments also is available at the library. Jane's Sentinel Security Assessments combine analysis of the latest events and trends in political, security and military affairs with a detailed breakdown of global military and political structures on a regional basis. Broken down by country, each region details the country profiles providing a detailed analysis of political, diplomatic and military capabilities. New electronic journals available this month include among others, Mind: The Meetings Index; Proceedings of Science; Research in International Business and Finance; Journal of Nonlinear Mathematical Physics; Materials Physics and Mechanics; Journal of Energetic Materials; and Directory of Published Proceedings. And the Journal of Immunology is once again available after a short hiatus because of licensing issues. The Research Library has a subscription to Encyclopedia Britannica online, providing a wealth of resources for users. Read about this service in the March issue of the STB-RL newsletter. A reminder from the Research Library: cellular phones and other items, such as backpacks and briefcases belonging to Lab personnel can no longer be held by library staff because of revised security procedures. The Research Library, including the lower level, is open to all Laboratory badge holders 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lab workers can call 7-7840 during business hours to verify that they are registered in the Research Library badge reader.
