Tuesday, March 22, 2005 Lari talks on emotional intelligence todayPart of Women's History Month at Lab
According to Lari, emotional intelligence allows an employee to improve personal effectiveness; increase self-motivation; understand the power of managing emotions in the workplace; define emotional values, beliefs and attitudes; and facilitate positive conclusions. Lari spoke at the Laboratory last year for Women's History Month. She is program leader for Sandia's Diversity Leadership program and is responsible for leading the development of strategies, initiatives and tactics in the areas of culture change, awareness development, organizational effectiveness and interventions, metrics management, marketing, and diversity communications and community interactions. "Women Change America" is the theme of this year's national Women's History Month. "Rochelle is returning to the Laboratory by popular demand. Her presentation during last year's Women's History Month was a huge success, and she is always funny and highly entertaining. We are really excited that she has agreed to come back to Los Alamos," said Lisa Gutierrez, DVO leader. For more information about Women's History Month activities and Diversity Cinema events at the Laboratory, go to http://www.lanl.gov/orgs/dvo/ online. --Steve Sandoval
