Friday, March 11, 2005 Nominations due Monday for pollution prevention awardsThe Laboratory is accepting nominations for 2005 pollution prevention awards. The deadline to submit nominations is Monday. The awards recognize the pollution prevention successes of individuals and teams that have minimized waste; conserved water, electricity or natural gas; reduced air or water pollution; procured products with recycled content; applied sustainable design elements or projects; used the Leadership Energy Environmental Design criteria to design a new facility; or helped in other ways to meet Department of Energy Pollution Prevention Goals for 2005. University of California employees and subcontract personnel are eligible to receive a pollution prevention award. Individuals or teams selected to receive pollution prevention awards will be notified by March 31 and winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony April 28 in the Physics Building Auditorium at Technical Area 3.
