Employees in Streamlined Purchasing (SUP-7) who perform Just-in-Time purchasing services are participating in a catalog contracts pre-solicitation conference Thursday at Santa Fe Community College. The conference is hosted by the Laboratory.
"The conference is intended to provide relevant and specific information about upcoming changes in Laboratory catalog purchasing in an effort to ensure that area suppliers have the opportunity to pursue contracts with the Laboratory," said Ed Lundeen, Supply Chain Management (SUP) deputy division leader, procurement manager at the Laboratory. "This is part of our commitment to the New Mexico business community and an example of how we will be engaging suppliers as we enhance our procurement processes."
While Lab personnel are at the conference, online catalog services will continue. Just-in-Time personnel are at the conference from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., but will respond to telephone messages in the afternoon. Laboratory requesters can obtain catalog assistance from the JIT/Store Customer Service Center at 7-8673. Help with purchase requests is available through the Procurement Assistance Center at 6-0722 or mypac@lanl.gov by electronic mail.
