New pick up, drop off location for Santa Fe commuters on park and ride

Laboratory employees who use the All Aboard America commuter bus service from Santa Fe will have a new pick up and drop off location starting Monday. A parking area on the north side of the Radisson Hotel on Calle Mejia is replacing the Fort Marcy Ballpark parking area.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation recently purchased property near the hotel and will use it as a pick up and drop off location, according to All Aboard America, which provides the commuter bus service on contract for the state agency. Signs are being erected directing motorists to the parking area. The other pick up and drop off locations in Santa Fe aren't changing.

The commuter bus service provides transportation between Los Alamos, Española, Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Rider fares are $2 each way between Los Alamos, Española and Santa Fe, and $4 each way between Los Alamos and Albuquerque.

The buses drop off and pick up Laboratory employees at East Jemez Road and Diamond Drive near Technical Area 3 and in front of Mesa Public Library on Central Avenue downtown.

In addition to the change in Santa Fe, Lab employees who use the service in Albuquerque are reminded that beginning Monday, the new pick up and drop off location will be 7500 Pan American N.E., east of Interstate 25, in front of the state agency's Albuquerque district office. Now, passengers board the bus on Del Ray N.E., off of Pan American N.E.

The schedule of bus routes are being updated to reflect the new pick up and drop off location in Santa Fe.
