EPSCoR grant proposals being acceptedThe Department of Energy is accepting pre-applications for research through its Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research program. Applications are being accepted in the DOE-State-National Laboratories partnership category and the deadline to submit a pre-application to the New Mexico EPSCoR office is March 1. The pre-application should be submitted as a pdf file to Tamara Montoya of the University of New Mexico at tambo@unm.edu by electronic mail. The pre-application to DOE is due by 2:30 p.m., April 12. The EPSCoR program is a federal-state partnership designed to help the nation as well as individual states, including New Mexico, better meet today and tomorrow's national needs. Los Alamos and Sandia national laboratories and all six of the state's universities participate in EPSCoR. EPSCoR is a joint program of the National Science Foundation and several states and territories. The program promotes the development of the United States' science and technology resources through partnerships between federal research and development efforts, universities, industry and government.
