Carruthers, NMSU officials visit LaboratoryContingent learns about Lab work force, education initiativesFormer New Mexico Gov. Garrey Carruthers, center, dean of the college of Business Administration and Economics at New Mexico State University, and a contingent of NMSU officials were at Los Alamos last Friday to meet with Laboratory business and education staff on work force initiatives and education programs. Carruthers was accompanied by Wayne Headrick, foreground, director of business computer systems, and Pete Dillaway, left of Carruthers, director of the college of Business Administration and Economics at NMSU. The NMSU visitors received an overview briefing on the Laboratory; they also heard reports on work force initiatives out of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Division, student internship opportunities and Los Alamos' internship database, which allows students to search for internship opportunities at the Lab. Also pictured in photo are far right, Rocke Johnson of Accounting (CFO-1), Leo Jaramillo of the CFO Division Office and Jan Frensdorf of the Supply Chain Management (SUP) Division Office. Seated to the right of Carruthers is Ed Lundeen, SUP deputy division leader.
