Monday, December 20, 2004 ![]() Enterprise Project needs employees for pilot programLab to unveil new system for purchase order inquiriesThe Enterprise Project wants group leaders to nominate Laboratory employees interested in testing out its new purchase order inquiry system. Participants will pilot the Oracle-based system in January and the Enterprise Project will offer hands-on training sessions on the new system, said Nancy Arendt of the Enterprise Project, which is working with the Supply Chain Management (SUP) Division on the pilot. EP is seeking one employee from every group in the Laboratory to be part of the test. Participants will be the first to use the new system, which has an intuitive Web interface for accessing purchasing information that has not been available in the past. “This pilot is a great opportunity for someone in every group to gain access to new purchasing information,” said Arendt, EP procurement team leader. “Participants will be able to see, touch, and feel the new functionality that comes with the new Oracle system.” The deadline to sign up for the pilot program is Thursday (Dec. 23). To nominate a group member as a participant, managers should send the person’s name, Z-number, and organization to enterprise@lanl.gov by electronic mail. The Enterprise Project will notify participants selected and provide details about the hands-on training session. For more information, call the project office at 5-9067 or write to enterprise@lanl.gov by electronic mail. --Steve Sandoval Other Headlines Nanos addresses UNM ROTC at commissioning ceremony more...
