Forum reminds construction contractors about safety on the job

Mike Strevell of the Project Management (PM) Division briefs attendees on the status of work operations at the Laboratory during a contractor safety forum last week in Los Alamos. The Laboratory's construction safety advisory committee sponsored the forum to focus attention on contractor safety and construction issues at the Laboratory, and to improve communications between the Lab and construction companies and subcontractors. More than 130 people, including Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos, other Lab and Los Alamos Site Office personnel attended the forum at Los Alamos High School. Nanos reminded attendees to be mindful of safety on the job and that the Lab has zero tolerance for inattention to safety and on-the-job accidents.
