Monday, August 9, 2004 Contractor safety forum on WednesdayThe first Contractor Safety Forum will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Los Alamos High School Cafeteria, "Café" Room (1400 Diamond Drive). The Contractor Safety Forum is being organized to enhance communications between the Laboratory, construction contractors and subcontractors. A buffet lunch will be served. This forum will provide regular updates on major safety issues. The meeting also will serve to exchange information, and identify and eliminate impediments to construction safety. The Lab and the Construction Safety Advisory Council want the forum to be a contractor-led forum providing much needed input to the Laboratory on construction contractor concerns with safety and construction processes. Lab attendees to this first forum include Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos and other senior Laboratory leadership. The Laboratory invites all corporate officers or their representatives and safety managers/engineers of all contractors and subcontractors working at or considering working at the Lab to attend the Forum.
