Latest issue of ARQ online

Heavy-element chemistry at Los Alamos is the topic of the latest issue of "Actinide Research Quarterly" now online.

Articles in this issue include discussions of the fluorescence of actinic transitions; f elements; density functional theory; unusual coordination in heptavalent neptunium; x-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy; structural characterization; and room-temperature ionic liquids.

Actinide Research Quarterly is published by the Nuclear Materials Technology (NMT) Division. The latest issue of the magazine, ARQ first quarter 2004, as well as past issues, can be accessed at www.lanl.gov/arq online.
