Tuesday, May 4, 2004 Interdivisional Relay Thursday at Sullivan FieldLaboratory workers can dust off their old running shoes and head over to Sullivan Field for the annual Interdivisional Relay on Thursday. The annual event allows Lab organizations to take part in track and field events in a spirit of friendly competition. The relay begins at noon at Sullivan Field off Diamond Drive and consists of a 10-person medley race with distance splits of 800,400, 400, 200, 200, 200, 200, 400, 400 and 800 meters in this order, said Ron Kirkpatrick of Integrated Physics Methods (X-3), coordinator of the event. Five teams took part in last year's Interdivisional Relay, said Kirkpatrick, noting that teams should have at least 10 members and two timers to man the recording timer buttons at the start and finish at the 200-meter mark on the track. Kirkpatrick said teams should have a list of their participants in the order they will run the medley. Participants also must complete the Par Q physical activity questionnaire and bring it to Sullivan Field. The form is available at the Wellness Center (HSR-2) and at the field on Thursday. (Adobe Acrobat Reader required) For more information, call Kirkpatrick at 7-7208 or the Wellness Center at 7-7166. Other Headlines NIH chooses Los Alamos to model urban epidemics more...
