Science Circus is tonight at Bradbury Science MuseumHands-on science activities and demonstrations for elementary school age children designed to make science fun can be found at the annual Science Circus from 4 to 7 this evening at the Bradbury Science Museum. Science Circus is free and open to the public. The activities will provide something of interest for almost everyone, said Pat Berger of the museum, part of the Laboratory's Public Affairs Office. Attendees can wander between demonstrations about the human brain, cryogenics, robotic insects and real insects from the Pajarito Plateau. Demonstrations about forensic science also will be part of the evening's events presented by Los Alamos High School students, Berger added. Other hands-on events include magnets, an up-close view of bovine eye dissections and the ever popular snakes. Presenters include staff from the Laboratory, Los Alamos County Extension Office and Balloon Explorium in Albuquerque. "Science Circus is one of many ways the museum tries to stimulate students' interest in the real world of science," said Berger. "Children and adults of all ages enjoy the activities." The Bradbury Science Museum is located at 15th Street and Central Avenue in Los Alamos. Museum hours apart from special events are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
