Thursday, April 29, 2004 Programmable circuits topic for talk by visiting expertBob Conn, principal research and development engineer for Xilinx Inc. of San Jose, Calif., will speak at 9:30 this morning in the Superconductivity Technology Center (MST-STC) conference room, off Eniwetok Road at Technical Area 3, Building 32, Room 134. He will talk about the details of programmable logic for future supercomputers. Conn began his career designing integrated circuits at National Semiconductor in 1970 and was a senior engineer at Fairchild Semiconductor. Since 1981, he has run his own design consulting firm, Connsult, providing design and prototype work on more than 100 projects. He holds more than 30 patents. Conn has a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
