County sponsors West Nile Virus forum in MayA West Nile Virus forum on mitigation prevention efforts by the Los Alamos County Office of Emergency Management, the New Mexico Department of Health, Los Alamos County Parks and local equine veterinarians is from 7 to 8:30 p.m., on May 5 in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge downtown. The forum will discuss issues such as what is West Nile Virus, how is the virus spread, how to keep from contracting the virus, what is the Los Alamos County doing to contain it and how can the public learn more about the virus, said Randy Balice of Ecology (RRES-ECO). The forum's main speaker is Pam Reynolds of the New Mexico Department of Health Office of Epidemiology. The forum is sponsored by the Los Alamos Public Health Office and the County Office of Emergency Management.
