Wednesday, April 21, 2004 Research Library director talks Thursday on information access at Lab"The Vision and the Reality: Information Access at Los Alamos National Laboratory," is the subject of a talk at 10 a.m., Thursday at the Laboratory. Rick Luce, director of the Laboratory's Research Library (STB-RL) in the J. Robert Oppenheimer Study Center at Technical Area 3, will give the talk, which is open to Lab badgeholders. The talk is in the Jemez and Cochiti rooms of the second floor of the study center. Luce's talk will address specific strategies and barriers impacting the Laboratory in terms of information. Preceding Luce's talk, Santa Fe Institute President Robert Eisenstein will speak briefly on the global view of information challenges. There also will be poster sessions and demonstrations on information technology tools by STB-RL staff. Light refreshments will be served.
