Lab, Santa Fe Institute sign memorandum of understanding
Robert Eisenstein, left, president of the Santa Fe Institute, and
Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos signed a formal memorandum of understanding
last
week at Los Alamos. The MOU provides guidelines regarding patenting, commercialization
and royalty sharing of jointly developed projects and ideas. In addition,
the
agreement may benefit the creation of formal collaborations in research and
educational projects by establishing an advisory committee consisting of three
representatives
from each institution. Photos by LeRoy N. Sanchez, Public Affairs
