NNSA's Przybylek to discuss contract competition at talk Wednesday

Charles (Tyler) Przybylek, general counsel and acting chief operating officer for the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration, is at the Laboratory Wednesday to fulfill NNSA Director Linton Brooks' commitment to listen and gather input from Lab employees, community and tribal leaders and elected officials. He is in New Mexico in his capacity as chair of DOE's Source Evaluation Board. Consequently, he will not be able to respond to questions about the contract competition because many of those details are still being formulated.

Przybylek will solicit input from employees at 9 a.m., Wednesday in the Administration Building Auditorium at Technical Area 3. Employees are encouraged to attend to voice their concerns and to raise issues with respect to the competition. Oral input will be limited to three minutes per person. Written comments also will be accepted.

The discussion is open to Q and L cleared employees only (due to classified briefings scheduled in the auditorium immediately before and after his talk). Employees who aren't Q or L cleared can watch the discussion on LABNET Channel 9. Employees unable to attend also may call 7-0406 to offer comment.

Note: Questions previously submitted to the Daily Newsbulletin will be given to Przybylek for his information.
