March Laboratory Connection now online

The March issue of the Laboratory Connection has been published. It is distributed to community leaders in Northern New Mexico. (Adobe Acrobat Reader required)

The Laboratory Connection -- published by the Community Relations Office (CRO) and Information Management (IM) Division -- is designed to enhance community understanding of Lab programs, community activities and initiatives, business and educational opportunities.

In this issue, read about a new small business advocacy team in CRO that works to promote the interest of regional small businesses to Laboratory personnel. The objectives of the team include communications, small business advocacy, supplier development, outreach and regional procurement. Team members can be contacted at 5-4400.

The Laboratory has provided technical assistance to Rio Arriba County. Earlier this year, the Lab helped the county open the Rio Arriba County Rural Events Center. Page 3 of this issue talks about the opening and the type of assistance the Lab has provided. There also is information about the Lab's Math and Science Academy, now in its fourth year.

Also, read about how the Lab helped procure transportable buildings for use as part of the new Española Youth Center, which is scheduled to open in June.
