Movement of oversized vehicles

Laboratory-managed property comprises approximately 36 square miles, and oversized vehicles routinely travel across the site. A recent incident indicates that a set of consistent, standardized safety-related requirements for transporting oversized vehicles on Department of Energy-owned and Laboratory-managed roadways and site properties is required.

A notice has been issued that contains new institutional requirements that must be implemented for safely transporting and driving oversized vehicles on DOE-owned and Laboratory-managed roadways when such vehicles could impede the normal flow of traffic or otherwise present a safety hazard.
