Construction of the National Security Sciences Building at Technical Area 3 remains on schedule despite wetter-than-normal weather in February that caused some slow down in the installation of utilities infrastructure on the site, shown here looking northeast from the roof of the present Administration Building. In the meantime, heavy equipment excavation continues in preparation for the start of construction on the NSSB foundation. Drilling and installation of steel rebar and concrete foundation piers should begin in the next couple of weeks. The 275,000-square foot building is scheduled to be completed in 2006.
