Tuesday, April 6, 2004 Draft report out on Materials Disposal Area HPublic meeting set for April 14 The National Nuclear Security Administration has released a draft report on proposed environmental restoration corrective measures at the Laboratory's Materials Disposal Area H at Technical Area 54. NNSA also will hold a public meeting on the draft environmental assessment at 6 p.m., April 14 in Fuller Lodge in downtown Los Alamos. According to the draft environmental assessment, there are three containment options and two excavation and removal options for the site. The public comment period ends April 22. Copies of the draft environmental assessment can be obtained at the Community Relations (CRO) Office, 1619 Central Ave., in Los Alamos, and at the Government Information Department of Zimmerman Library at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. The document also can be obtained by contacting Elizabeth Withers of NNSA's Los Alamos Site Office at 7-8690 or by writing to ewithers@doeal.gov by electronic mail.
