Thursday, March 18, 2004 Pollution prevention proposals being acceptedNomination deadline is Friday The Laboratory's Pollution Prevention (RRES-PP) Office is accepting nominations for 2004 Pollution Prevention awards. The cash awards recognize pollution prevention successes of individuals and teams that have minimized waste; conserved water, electricity or natural gas; reduced air or water pollution; procured products with recycled content; applied sustainable design elements or projects; used the Leadership Energy Environmental Design (LEED) criteria in the design of a new facility; submitted Green Zia nominations; or helped in other ways to meet Department of Energy goals for 2005. Pollution prevention awards are open to all University of California Laboratory employees and subcontract personnel.
