Wednesday, March 10, 2004 Weapons program restructuring approvedLaboratory Director G. Peter Nanos on Tuesday issued an all-employee memo announcing plans for the restructuring of responsibilities for nuclear weapons programs at the Laboratory. These plans include establishing an additional weapons directorate to be headed by a principal associate director for Nuclear Weapons Programs (PrADNWP). The PrADNWP will integrate the program management of the entire nuclear weapons portfolio at the Laboratory and will chair the weapons Program Integration Board (PIB). This individual will report directly to Nanos and John Immele, the Lab's deputy director for National Security. For more information, see the all-employee memo.
