March Research Library newsletter now online

The March issue of the Research Library (STB-RL) newsletter is now online. The newsletter contains information about services, resources and programs offered by the library, which is located in the J. Robert Oppenheimer Study Center at Technical Area 3.

In this month's issue, library patrons can read about improvements to SciSearch Plus, which is now called Search Plus. The new search tool has a tie-in to Inspec, the leading database in physics, electrical engineering and electronics and computing journals.

American Nuclear Society ejournals are now available in full-text from desktop computers. Library patrons can access full journal articles using SearchPlus.

New electronic journals at STB-RL this month include Tree Physiology, Fusion Science and Technology, Nuclear Technology and Nuclear Science and Engineering. This month's issue has Web addresses to link to these and several other new electronic journals.

The state's new librarian, Richard Akeroyd, recently visited the Research Library. Read about his visit in this month's newsletter.

The Research Library, including the lower level, is open to all Laboratory badge holders 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lab workers can call 7-7840 during business hours to verify that they are registered in the STB-RL badge reader.

To read the Research Library newsletter, go to http://lib-www.lanl.gov/libinfo/news/news.htm online. Past issues also are available.
