Wednesday, February 18, 2004 Industry Forum talk today at Research ParkThe next Industry Forum at Los Alamos Research Park presentation is from 4 to 6 p.m. today with a program titled "On-Demand Computing and its Implications for Business." Greg Lefelar, an IBM Business Unit Executive with IBM's Government Industry, is the speaker. Lefelar manages IBM's Federal eServer sales team, which sells and supports high-performance systems and storage, which are widely used around the world to solve some of the world's most challenging computational problems. Lefelar has 23 years experience with IBM, and has spent much of it in support of federal government agencies and national laboratories. He has spent the last 15 years in sales or sales management positions for IBM's Government Industry. He has a broad technical background in computer systems, ranging from desktops to supercomputers, as well as in storage systems and system software. The presentation is in the second floor conference center (Room 203) at the Research Park, located at 4200 West Jemez Road across from Technical Area 3. The format is a presentation and question/answer session followed by refreshments and an opportunity for networking. Hot Rocks Java Café will provide refreshments. The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested to ensure that space is available for all who want to attend.
