February Research Library newsletter now online

The February issue of the Research Library (STB-RL) newsletter is now online. The newsletter contains information about services, resources and programs offered by the library, which is located in the J. Robert Oppenheimer Study Center at Technical Area 3.

The Research Library now has access to Nature Materials, a monthly journal publishing cutting-edge research across the entire spectrum of materials science and engineering.

What's a nitrophobe? Want to learn some new words? The Oxford English Dictionary has about 2,700 new words and STB-RL has an electronic link to the dictionary and all the new words.

In this month's issue, read about the 2003 top 10 U.S. patent recipients, headed for the 11th consecutive year by IBM.

This issue also summarizes new electronic journals available through the Research Library. Some of the new electronic publications include the International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, In Vitro Cellular, Developmental Biology - Plant and the AIChE Journal.

The Research Library, including the lower level, is open to all Laboratory badge holders 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lab workers can call 7-7840 during business hours to verify that they are registered in the STB-RL badge reader.

To read the Research Library newsletter, go to http://lib-www.lanl.gov/libinfo/news/news.htm online. Past issues also are available.
