Students Association holiday potluck is Tuesday

The Laboratory's Students Association in conjunction with the Student Programs Advisory Committee is hosting a student holiday potluck on Tuesday.

"This is an excellent opportunity for students to share their love of different foods with their fellow students," said Leah Sandoval of the Education Programs Office (STB-EPO), treasurer of the Students Association. Students may bring an appetizer, salad, main dish, or dessert to share, she said, adding, "Students are asked to also bring a canned food item or toiletry item to be donated to a local charity."

The holiday potluck starts at 11 a.m. in rooms 165, 167 and 172 of the Canyon School Complex. Students can drop off their potluck item anytime in the morning with a Students Association officer in Room 170 or bring it with them when they arrive.

Students who plan to attend can RSVP by 4 p.m., from the Students Association Web page at sa.lanl.gov online.

"The Students Association wants to play an active role year round rather than just during the summer," said Sandoval, noting that the association sponsors the annual student picnic during the summer. "We want to continue doing fun activities for students that are here year-round. We feel the holiday potluck is one of many goals that we want to implement for our entire student population," she said.
