Tuesday, December 9, 2003 Lab Holiday Drive continues through Dec. 15Albuquerque Isotopes mascot, Orbit, found a new temporary home in the form of a Holiday Drive collection box at the Otowi Building at Technical Area 3. The box, located on the second floor of the Otowi Building, has been filled and emptied several times with toys, nonperishable items, blankets and other donated gifts. More than 50 families from throughout Northern New Mexico have been "adopted" by Laboratory organizations, employees, Lab subcontract companies and community organizations. In addition, more than 500 "Angel Tags" were selected from Holiday Drive trees set up at various locations around the Lab, and more than 100 of the tags have been returned with holiday gifts. Orbit was at the Laboratory last week for a United Way fundraising event. The Lab's Holiday Drive continues through Dec. 15.
