November Research Library newsletter now online

The November issue of the Research Library (STB-RL) newsletter is now online. The newsletter contains information about services, resources and programs offered by the library, which is located in the J. Robert Oppenheimer Study Center at Technical Area 3.

This month's issue features news about the recent agreement between STB-RL and the American Physical Society in which the Laboratory obtained a license to the American Physical Society's entire collection of PDFs and XML data for local content hosting. The cooperative agreement under which the license was signed includes the APS online journals Physical Review, Physical Review Letters, Reviews of Modern Physics and the Physical Review online archive.

Browsing and using STB-RL's electronic links is easier with the use of Science Server version 5.2. Read about it in this month's issue of the newsletter. The library also is seeking individuals to try out a new MyLibrary interface and provide feedback to STB-RL. MyLibrary helps users organize links, see what books they may have out or create groups of links to share with fellow project members.

Institute of Physics e-journals dating back to 1874 are now available through the Research Library. Read about this in this month's issue.

This month's issue also has Web links to new electronic journals that have been added to the library's collection. Some new links include Macromolecular Materials and Engineering, PLoS Biology, IEEE Power Electronic Letters and Comparative Strategy. There's also an update on a project to install compact shelving in the lower level of the library.
