Friday, November 7, 2003 Lab technology showcased for Homeland Security officialDescribing the technology behind the Palm CZT Spectrometer radiation detector, Bill Murray, left, of Advanced Nuclear Technology (N-2), shows the detector to David Bolka, director of the Homeland Security Department's Advanced Research Projects Agency, during a visit to Los Alamos' Center for Homeland Security on Wednesday. Bolka came to the Laboratory to get a sense of how projects at Los Alamos can transition to industry for homeland security applications. Bolka's visit included a radiological and nuclear threat reduction overview, as well as a tour of the Biosafety Level 3 facility.
