Studying 'nothing' ... and more

The latest issue of DOE Pulse is available online. Pulse is an online newsletter about accomplishments at the Department of Energy's national laboratories. The highlights are short and written to be very understandable.

In addition to the highlights, each issue features two longer articles – one about a researcher and one about a multilab collaborative effort.

Some of the headlines in this issue are "Making world's shortest bunches of electrons" from Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, "Studying 'nothing' " from Thomas Jefferson Accelerator Facility, "Learning from seashells, diatoms" from Sandia National Laboratories and "Producing electricity on the spot" from Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

There also is a profile on Jacek Sekutowicz of Jefferson Labs and a feature on unlocking metallic glass' mysteries from Ames Lab.
