Laboratory remembers Sept. 11

A member of the Protection Technology Los Alamos color guard salutes the American flag as it lowered to half-staff at a ceremony Thursday outside the Otowi Building at Technical Area 3. Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos led a moment of silence at noon to honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 incidents on the east coast.

Laboratory personnel joined Director G. Peter Nanos in a moment of silence Thursday to mark the second anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 incidents on the east coast. Nanos spoke briefly about remembering the individuals who lost their lives two years ago, and the important contributions of the Lab to the nation's defense and homeland security.
