Peter Nanos at noon today will lead a moment of silence for the individuals who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 incidents on the east coast. Lab workers can join Nanos for the moment silence at the flagpoles north of the Otowi Building at Technical Area 3. President Bush also has declared today as Patriot Day. Department of Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham also urged DOE employees to take a moment today to reflect on the national tragedy. "We should all take time to reflect on the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, in a way that reflects honor upon our nation and remembers those innocent people who lost their lives," said Abraham.
