Albuquerque Isotopes mascot Orbit picked up two young supporters during a visit to the Laboratory Monday. Orbit and Isotopes sales and marketing staff came to Los Alamos to sell tickets for Laboratory Day at Isotopes Park on Labor Day, Sept. 1. Here, Orbit poses for a picture with the unidentified youngsters and their father at the SM-30 Warehouse at Technical Area 3. Nearly 2,000 tickets have been purchased by Lab workers for the game. Isotopes expect sellout for Labor Day game

Nanos to throw out ceremonial first pitch

Nearly 2,000 tickets were purchased by Laboratory workers for next Monday's Albuquerque Isotopes game against Nashville for Laboratory Day at Isotopes Park. The game is the regular season finale for the Central Division-leading Isotopes.

Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the 1:35 p.m. game, and Melissa Porter of Tritium Science and Engineering (ESA-TSE) will sing the National Anthem.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the gate for the regular price. However, Isotopes team officials are expecting a sellout. Heading into last night's games, the Isotopes were in first place in their division of the Pacific Coast League, one game ahead of Colorado Springs.

Isotopes Park is located at Avenida Cesar Chavez and University boulevards.
