Orbit at Lab today

Tickets on sale for Isotopes' Labor Day game

Laboratory employees can meet Orbit and buy tickets today for the Albuquerque Isotopes' game against the Nashville Sounds on Labor Day, Sept. 1.

Orbit, the team mascot of the Isotopes, and team ticket sales personnel will be with Orbit as he sells tickets at Technical Area 55, the Otowi Building at TA-3, at S-Site and the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) at TA-53.

Limited-seating tickets are available for Lab personnel and their families for $5, cash only. In order to expedite ticket sales, Laboratory organizations should be collecting money from employees planning to attend the game and purchase the tickets in bulk. However, employees can, if they wish, purchase tickets individually and have their picture taken with Orbit. Wheelchair accessible seating also is available at the park.

Orbit and Isotopes ticket sales staff will be selling tickets in the PF-1 Auditorium at TA-55 from 10:30 to about 11:30 a.m. Orbit then moves to the Otowi Building where he and Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos will sell tickets from noon to about 1:30 p.m. While at the Otowi Building, Orbit will have lunch and receive a Laboratory t-shirt and baseball cap from Nanos.

Between 1:45 and 3 p.m., Orbit will sell tickets at various other Lab locations, including S-Site, LANSCE, the KSL Services crafts and SM-30 warehouses at TA-3.

The Labor Day contest is scheduled to begin at 1:35 p.m.
