Power of an uncommon protein ... and more

The latest issue of DOE Pulse is available online. Pulse is an online newsletter about accomplishments at the Department of Energy's national laboratories. The highlights are short and written to be very understandable.

In addition to the highlights, each issue features two longer articles – one about a researcher and one about a multilab collaborative effort.

Some of the headlines in this issue are "Power of an uncommon protein" from Los Alamos, "Promise of lower-cost mercury removal" from National Energy Technology Laboratory, "Ultracapacitors for fuel cell vehicles" from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and "Cleaning up natural gas" from Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

There also is a profile on Karl Gross of Sandia National Laboratories and a feature on research closer to [a] extreme form of matter from Argonne National Laboratory.
