New building for S-3 dedicated

Samy Smith of Protection Technology Los Alamos, who works for Security Systems (S-3), pulls down a tarp covering the entrance to the new S-3 building, which was dedicated Tuesday at Technical Area 3. The building will house more than 50 S-3 employees now located at three different locations. Also pictured are Bill Sole, back to camera, of S-3, Scott Gibbs, acting Security and Safeguards (S) Division leader and Elmer Archuleta, also of S-3, far right.
A Protection Technology Los Alamos color guard helped dedicate the new S-3 building on Tuesday. Raising the flag is John Kelley. Next to Kelley is Nicolas Walker. In the background near the new building is Steven Maestas, while at right is Gerald Geyer. Personnel from S-3 expect to move into the 22,000-square-foot building in early September.
