Nominations being accepted for Los Alamos Medal

The Laboratory is accepting nominations for the third Los Alamos National Laboratory Medal.

Previous recipients have included former Laboratory Director Harold Agnew, noted physicist Hans Bethe, and Laboratory senior Fellow George Cowan and senior Fellow emeritus Louis Rosen.

The Los Alamos Medal is the highest award the Laboratory bestows for exceptional achievement that impacts the success of the Laboratory, either through influencing mission accomplishments or enhancing the Lab's distinction. The award can be for a specific major accomplishment, or for a sustained, distinguished career.

The deadline to submit nominations is Aug. 22 and nominations can be submitted to the Science and Technology Base (STB) Programs Office.
